Electric Entertainment has named Firefly Brand Management the exclusive U.S. licensing agent for its upcoming series The Librarians: The Next Chapter. Firefly aims to find licensing partners across various product categories, including publishing (novels and comics), calendars, apparel, collectibles, and more.
This marks a significant and thrilling milestone for us and The Librarians franchise. With Firefly on board to manage licensing agreements for the highly anticipated series continuation, we are opening up new avenues for fans to immerse themselves in the program.
The Librarians: The Next Chapter is a spinoff series based on the original The Librarians show, which premiered on TNT in 2014 and ran for four seasons. The new series follows a librarian from the past who traveled through time, finding himself stuck in the present. After accidentally unleashing magic on the continent, he’ll need to form a new team of librarians to fix things.
“Since [The Librarian’s] season finale in 2018, the passionate and diverse fan community has gathered on various social media platforms, fan forums, and dedicated websites,” says Cynthia Modders, CEO of Firefly Brand Management. “They enthusiastically share theories, fan art, favorite moments, and even create fan fiction while anxiously awaiting news of the show’s actual return.”
The Librarians: The Next Chapter is coming to The CW this fall.
