How It Works

Buyers

Get a Good Item, at a Good Price

Browse for things. Add them to your cart. Create an account and checkout. In a few days your item will be shipped to you. Check it out. If things are good, login and review the order. Done. You get some points for the order. The seller gets feed back and some points. You get a good product at a good deal.

Sellers

Make more money

Create an account. Post and Item to sell. When the item sells, pack it up, ship it out, wait for the buyer to accept it. Once accepted the money will go to your bank account. WHOOO HOOO. The buyer gets points, and you get points. The more you sell the lower your seller fees.

Points = Lower Fees.

Be Good. Be Rewarded

The more points you have, the higher your level, the lower the fees charged for transactions. Imagine points as XP and XP gets you levels. Classic gamification tied to real cash. As of now everyone starts out at 9% VH listing fees. The higher the level the lower the listing fees all the way down to 4%. On a $100 sale that's only $9 bucks in fees starting out. The more you sell those fees keep going down. That means more money in the seller's pocket.

Reviewers and Creators

Expand your Audience. Expand your Sales

You can also get points for writing articles, sharing videos, or sharing links related to items on the site. That can get you extra exposure for your youtube website or blog, plus it can help you get points that lower your seller fees. Win, Win.

A user cannot post on Valhaulah unless they have purchased or sold an item. Sorry - but we just don't trust you unless you've contributed some other way first.

Be good and make more money!

Got Questions? Here are a few Answers

To get low fees you have to sell, buy, and post stuff. For each dollar you sell you get a point. For each dollar you spend you get a point. You also get upto an additional 100 points for a good review. You can also get points for logging into you account, adding items to sell or posting articles or reviews. We don't know you. Why on earth would we trust you? We aren't gonna let a bunch of trolls with nothing to lose on our site. Nope. Never. Buy something and we will see. Sell something and maybe you can make a post or leave a comment. But nope - no anonymous users posting whatever they feel like.

So - why can’t a seller just sell a bunch of crap and just make a new account? Well, we ban the bank account. So basically, it is possible for them to start a new account and get a new bank account; we suppose that is possible, but that would take work, work that would be much easier to just do honestly. And we will ban accounts. If they suck, we don’t want them. We don’t want their garbage products or their garbage service. We don’t want bad people - not even for all the money in the world.

What if someone sells a fake item? Well, if they sell it like it is a legit product then we will give you back your money (you’ll have to send it back to them though - postage reimbursed) And they will get a negative review which will increase their fees. BUT if they sell a fake item - along with clear declaration that it is fake - ehhhhh…. That’s on the buyer. We aren’t going to outright ban a counterfeit item - clothes and items are useful regardless of brand and if a buyer willingly accepts an item that is marketed without tying it to a brand or legit item. . . we won’t stand in the way of that transaction. HOWEVER those items CANNOT be associated or marked as having that brand or associated with legitimate items. Basically if a counterfeit is being passed as legit on any part of the site - well THAT IS BAD. So chances are you won’t find a counterfeit product to buy on the site.

What if a buyer gets a legit item, but claims it is fake, then returns a fake product? Oof liars be everywhere. IF a user returns a product claiming it is fake and it can be proved that they sent back a product different than they received (Pictures of the items would be used to validate the claim - Validation will be handled with VH, the seller and the buyer. Also the cost of the item will be taken into consideration.). VH will make a final decision on the issue. All moneys are held by VH until the issue is resolved. The buyer and seller accounts, their purchase and sales histories will be taken into account and punishments if required could be handed out at VH’s discretion. Punishments may include an increase of fees all the way up to possible banning from the site. Buyers, just like sellers can be banned. We will ban the payment on the account, the address and their emails and phone. They won’t be able to participate any further on the site. Bad is bad - buyer or seller. They gone. stolen property or counterfeit property - user data; address, phone, email, even potential untransfered funds could be granted to those governing prosecutorial bodies.

What is a user? What is a seller? A user is a user. A user could represent a group, but it is still just one account, one login, one bank account. A group, though it might represent many people, is still only one user on the site - therefore no special treatment is given towards that account. All rules applied to individuals will be applied to group accounts. So if someone in the group does something bad - the group account will be penalized. One account = one login, one profile, one bank account.

We gotta start somewhere and the US is where we are at. The directory is relevant anywhere, but as of right now there is no system in place to handle payment or shipping or tracking anywhere but the US. Maybe some day.

Nope. Not yet. We suggest using a service like Stamps.com to handle shipping. It is a goal to offer shipping in the future, but not yet.
