Ah, Valentine's Day. A day to celebrate love and romance. To pick out chocolates and flowers and gaze longingly into the loving eyes of your sweetheart. But if you're single, sometimes it can feel like a day specifically engineered to make you feel like a big loser.

Q Timex Loser

Timex x seconde/seconde/ 'Loser' with gold dial.

While all is fair in love and war, sometimes, there are clear winners and losers in romance. Timex and seconde/seconde/ have spoken, and have ruled that your ex is unarguably a major loser, going so far as to create a timepiece that declares it for you and all the world to see.

Q Timex Loser

Timex x seconde/seconde/ "Loser" with white dial.

As one could expect given the duo's recent collab history (see here, here, and here), seconde/seconde/ founder Romaric André's signature penchant for irreverence has once again been allowed to run wild with the Q Timex as its canvas. This time, the French creative has gone so far as to remix the Timex logo to the whims of his wit. Notably, at 12 o'clock, you'll find that the branding no longer says Timex, and has been vandalized instead to read "My-Ex" with an L for loser resting just above it.

Of course, it wouldn't be a seconde/seconde/ creation without the quintessential replacing of the seconds hand with a witty graphic. Tying the theme together neatly, this seconds hand is a big capital "L" sign, for, you guessed it, loser. While it could initially appear as a revenge-driven, spiteful, and quirky salve to the pangs of heartbreak in watch form, this oscillating loser sign does have a way of taking a jab at its wearer, too. As it turns, that damning "L" reverses its aim, and in a twist of fate, points back at you. I guess you could say we're all losers in love.

Q Timex Loser

Available in both silver and gold-hued options, both models within this collaborative limited edition release are complete with the familiar design elements of the '70s-inspired Q Timex. Crafted from stainless steel, the 38mm case maintains the very vintage cushion case shape and domed acrylic crystal, features a unidirectional 12-hour bezel (still no GMT hand, sorry folks), and each model is paired with a stainless steel mesh bracelet in either silver or gold tones that match the respective case. Additionally, each watch is powered by a Japanese quartz movement and is water resistant up to 50 meters.

Now, feel free to cue the Beck. Happy Valentine's Day, losers!
