South Korean label CAYL, aka Climb As You Love, has continued to climb in global prominence, in part thanks to its partnership with American sportswear brand New Balance. The duo presented an outdoor-oriented CRV ZIP and CRV SLIDE project back in 2021 to serve as CAYL's footwear debut. Most recently, the two outfitted the 610 and Fresh Foam X More Trail v3, equipping them with trail-ready finishes.
Now, we have a first look at the next project from the two as a leak of a New Balance 1906R featuring CAYL branding has surfaced. The ever-popular silhouette is the subject of many collaborations this year, featuring the likes of Action Bronson, Jack Harlow, Footpatrol, 99GINGER and more. With CAYL, the 1906R looks to sport a ripstop upper that hosts a gray base with white gridlines throughout. From there, teal linework adorns the upper and hosts a small CAYL logo at the lateral heel. Black enters the mix at the silhouette's heel cage, "N" logos, toggle laces, tongue detailing and the N-ergy sole unit.
At the time of writing, neither CAYL nor New Balance have disclosed any details regarding their forthcoming collaboration involving the 1906R. Stay tuned for updates as it's likely to arrive this fall via CAYL, New Balance and select retailers.
