It's a big week for New Balance as it just launched its sustainability-oriented "Reconsidered" resale program while Teddy Santis is ready for his new season of MADE in USA footwear to launch. At the same time, a new rendition of the 1906R has surfaced -- offering a new "Polka Dot" twist on the model.
It's already shaping up to be a major year for the 1906 as Action Bronson has three 1906Rs on the way, Junya Watanabe MAN revealed a loafer version dubbed the 1906L and Salehe Bembury recently released his "Heat Be Hot" two-pack of 1906Rs. Now, this "Polka Dot" colorway adds to the fun as it takes a monochromatic presentation in off-white, and adds black polka dots throughout its mesh base. The silhouette's typical branding elements also arrive in black at the heel, midsole and tongue while the "N" logos stick to an almost-white finish that matches the leather overlays running across the sneaker.
At the time of writing, New Balance has not shared any info indicating whether or not this "Polka Dot" iteration of the 1906R will ever be releasing. Stay tuned for updates as it may arrive later this year via New Balance and select stockists worldwide at a likely price of $155 USD.
