eBay Finds is back! This bi-monthly installment will feature a selection of watches currently listed on eBay that have caught the eye of editor Christoph McNeil (@vintagediver). If you come across any hidden gems on the ‘Bay drop us a note at info@wornandwound.com for potential inclusion!

A special note this week: this is the 100th edition of eBay Finds! Congratulations to Christoph on hitting the century mark, and thanks to all of you for following along with us as we scour eBay for the coolest vintage watches.

Vintage Bulova

This vintage Bulova is more than meets the eye! The smaller 31mm steel case looks unpolished, and the fancy curved lugs and scalloped bezel look fantastic and ooze style. The white dial has a deep radial groove pattern that is really nice, plus the small applied steel arrow markers match the dagger hands. But the real gem is the hi-grade Bulova 10BPAC 23 jewel automatic movement. It is adjusted for heat, cold and isochronism in three positions. This is something you would see in a Chronometre grade movement. And even though these were not submitted for that certification, they were nevertheless highly adjusted, superb movements. Great looking piece with a beautiful movement!

Vintage Rado Silver Stag

Here’s a beauty with loads of personality. This vintage Rado Silver Stag not only has a killer name, it has killer style as well. The square case (and integrated bracelet) has a nice brushed finish, with clipped corners and a bezel that are polished to give it a multi-dimensional look. The silver dial has the classic Rado anchor below the 12, and a vertical day/date window which always looks so blissfully symmetrical. The caseback has a really cool, deeply engraved seahorse logo, and the crown is signed with the Rado anchor logo. The integrated bracelet adds to the awesome 70’s vibe and flair of this killer piece.

Vintage Mido Multifort

Next up is this really nice vintage Mido Multifort Extra. The 32mm steel case looks good, but looks to have been polished in its lifetime, but not overly so. The two tone beige/tan dial is “extra” clean, with small applied steel markers, and a fine inner minute track. The steel dagger hands compliment the look perfectly. Just a super clean, classic late 40’s/early 50’s look. The crown is original, and has a cool domed shape that is unique to Mido. No movement picture, but the seller states it runs and keeps time.

Vintage Waltham

This vintage Waltham is just wild, and one I haven’t seen before. The 35mm steel case has a unique, hard to describe design with its sharply beveled edges and nice wide bezel. The dial is also unique, with a space-age design. It is silver with a raised outer minute track, and just inside that is a thin silver track that is broken at 12, 3, 6 and 9 with raised steel triangles and lume dots. The Waltham name and logo are in the upper right quadrant adding to the unusual look. Again, no movement picture but seller states it is running well. This piece is really quite cool and one you’ll not likely find again any time soon.

Vintage Rose Gold Mido Multifort

Wait, two Midos in the same week? Yep! Here is another vintage Mido Mulifort, but this example is housed in a solid rose gold rectangular case. I’ve only seen the round Multifort models, but this one is a surprise and a real beauty, especially in solid rose gold. The two tone gold dial is superb, with no patina I could see and looks totally original. A spectacular Art Deco look, with the design of the dial and the fancy, but subdued case design. Add to this the slim, blued steel hands and you have a winner. But wait, there’s more! This gem comes with the original box, instructions, guarantee and price tag! Even the strap looks like it could be original. The manual wind movement looks clean and ticks, but did NOT continue to run. I don’t usually select watches in need of service, but this solid gold, complete set seemed worthy of being an exception. So please bear in mind this one will need some TLC.

Vintage Seiko 7A28-703A

Time to wrap it up this week, and I’ve got a winner to finish up. This vintage 1984 Seiko 7A28-703A quartz chronograph is stunning. I’m not usually a fan of quartz movements, but the Seiko 7A28 is a tried and true legend. The 7A28 models don’t usually show up in this configuration with the red/blue ‘Pepsi’ tachymeter bezel. The black dial is really clean, and the yellow chrono hands really stand out. The steel case is unpolished with brushed finish and sharp edges. The integrated bracelet is also excellent. This really is a wonderful example of a legendary Seiko chronograph.
