Fresh off the back of his 1906R "Scorpius" release with New Balance, Action Bronson is cookin' up on the collaborative footwear front again by taking to his Instagram Stories to share a photo of a new take on the brand's Minimus Trail silhouette. Bronson's choice of color palettes on his past collaborations has been decidedly esoteric, but he's usually stuck with popular models — the 990v6, the aforementioned 1906R — making his pivot to the little-known trail running silhouette a compelling summertime surprise.
One of the sleekest and lightest styles in New Balance's trail lineup, the Minimus Trail features a sleek mesh upper with a reinforced toe cap above a decoupled outsole and a flexible midfoot made of FreshFoam, all of which work together to supply a close-to-the-ground feel. Though all the silhouettes' tech remains intact, Bronson has given the Minimus Trail a jolt of life with a wild color scheme that combines earthy green shades with tan, sport blue and icy yellow embellishments. A custom tag is pinned to the exposed foam tongue, and boot-style laces, a signature Bronson touch, replace the standard athletic lace style. All these elements make for a look that, color-wise, sits somewhere between Bronson's inaugural 990v6 collaboration and his 990v6 ""Lapis Lazuli."
