Kevin Durant may not have been able to dominate during his brief appearance in this year's NBA Playoffs but he did catch eyes with the unveiling of his latest signature shoe with Nike Basketball -- the KD 17. Now, after the new model landed on shelves for the first time earlier this month, it has been revealed to be releasing in a new "Producer Pack" of colorways dedicated to some of Durant's favorite artists. The superstar previously highlighted greats like Boi-1da and Cardo with the KD 15 and is back this time to celebrate Metro Boomin, Bink! and The Alchemist.
Looking first at Metro Boomin's pair, it sees a black and purple colorway host a lightning storm-themed pattern across its base. The silhouette from his NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES album from 2018 hits the tongue while a reference to his family is included with his legal name and the name of his four siblings embroidered at the interior of the tongue. Bink!'s pair arrives in an orange, khaki and brown color arrangement that sees his signature script rest just below the lateral Swoosh, his hands motif appear at the heel and "HUMBLE MONSTA" text on display at the semi-translucent outsole. The Alchemist rounds things out with a magenta and lavender upper that is accented by neon green Swooshes at each side while sporting a custom "ALC RECORDS" tongue tag.
At the time of writing, Nike Basketball has not yet confirmed the release date of these three "Producer Pack" colorways of the KD 17. However, they are all currently expected to drop on June 14 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $160 USD each.
