As Jordan Brand continues to expand its global presence, several new international themes have emerged in recent years. One such project revolves around "Dongdan"-themed takes of its various footwear silhouettes. Paying homage to the Beijing-based court that hosts the annual Sunset Dongdan Tournament, these pairs feature references to the streetball site. Last year, the Air Jordan 5 Low and Air Jordan 37 were featured in the collection, with this year including the Jordan Spizike Low, Jordan Stadium 90 and more.
Official images of the first two pairs has now surfaced, with the Jordan Spizike Low appearing with a primarily-white upper that is joined by a gray elephant print at the mudguard and vibrant hues of purple, pink and teal at the shoe's heel, wings detail and lace lock. Looking closer at the heel, the portrait of Spike Lee returns to the left shoe while the right shoe sports a thematic emblem. As for the Jordan Stadium 90, it similarly hosts a mostly-white finish as off-white and gray join in at the overlays and Swooshes respectively. Its inclusion of teal, purple and pink is limited to the tongue, medial Jumpman tag, the midsole's heel detail and the heel's Nike Air logo at the left shoe and tournament logo at the right shoe.
At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has not announced when this year's "Dongdan" colorways, involving the Jordan Spizike Low, Jordan Stadium 90 and more silhouettes, will be releasing. Stay tuned for updates as we expect both pairs to land on shelves later this year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at prices of around $160 USD and $140 USD respectively. For reference, the Air Jordan 5 Low "Dongdan" from 2023 landed on shelves in early August.
