London's always-innovative Craig Green has brought new energy to adidas in recent years -- putting unique spins on the brand's silhouettes to create some of the most boundary-pushing footwear that we've seen lately. In continuation of their partnership, two new designs have been spotted: the Retropy Full BOOST Low and the Retropy Sandals.
Looking first at the Retropy Full BOOST Low, the two have remixed the Retropy E5 silhouette by constructing it almost completely with BOOST material -- a design approach previously employed with the duo's BOOST-backed Stan Smith from Fall/Winter 2023. "Triple White" and "Triple Black" colorways have been crafted with typical adidas branding at the exterior joined by a co-branding hit at the sockliner.
As for the Retropy Sandals, a more extreme twist on the Retropy has been applied. Its elaborate, partially holed-out upper sees a textile base joined by a suede toe, a BOOST overlay at the tongue and an intricate elasticated toggle lacing system that wraps around the sandal. Backed by a full-length BOOST midsole, a cream and white color arrangement is joined by another "Triple Black" rendition.
At the time of writing, neither Craig Green nor adidas have shared proper release information pertaining to the release of their Retropy Full BOOST Low and Retropy Sandals silhouettes. However, adidas Japan had product pages for the two models and their two colorways go live earlier this week with a release date set for May 28 at prices of ¥46,200 JPY (approx. $295 USD) and ¥36,300 JPY (approx. $232 USD) respectively. Stay tuned for updates as the designs are likely to land on shelves in the near future.
