Last year, Nike hosted its first-ever SNKRS Showcase -- an event that saw countless upcoming releases unveiled for the first time, beating sneaker leakers to the punch with many of its new announcements. Within this, several key silhouettes were revealed to be returning, including the Nike Air 180. The 1991 design saw both its "Ultramarine" and "Full 180" colorways unveiled, with the latter serving as an inverted take on the former.
Now, an official visual breakdown of the "Ultramarine" pair has been shared. A mesh base in white is joined by a soft gray suede at the overlays and a blue leather at the Swooshes. This blue hue also appears at the shoe's lining and the toe of the outsole. From there, a sharp "Infrared" dresses the heel's Nike Air embroidery, a portion of the midsole and the tongue's "180" logo. Supporting the sneaker, its Air-backed sole sees the Air unit at the heel with white joining the aforementioned "Infrared" detailing, resting a top a mostly-black outsole.
At the time of writing, Nike has not yet officially announced when the "Ultramarine" colorway of the Air 180 will be hitting shelves. However, it's currently expected to arrive via Nike SNKRS and select retailers starting on May 24 at a price of $150 USD. Stay tuned for confirmation and the reveal of more colorways to come later this year.
