anOrdain

Based in Scotland, the anOrdain brands is known for their clean and colorful enamel dials, which they’ve been producing in-house since 2015. Continually seeking to expand the discipline, anOrdain is a team of designers, typographers, enamellers, watchmakers and apprentices collaborating together. Check out their booth to see the Large Model 2 Racing Green edition, with vitreous enamel on copper and a Sellita SW210 movement.

The brushed case measures in at 39.5 millimeters with a rich emerald color reminiscent of British heritage and motorsport history. The watch is 11 millimeters deep, with thermally treated Super-Luminova tipped hands and a 5 ATM depth rating. The brand has been in operation since 2004, combining traditional Swiss watchmaking techniques with contemporary English design, to the delight of the enthusiast community. Christopher Ward continues to delight with The Twelve Aurora Green at this year’s Windup.

Fortis

To this day, family-owned Fortis is redefining the tool watch in ways only Fortis can do. Fresh from their collaboration with the Swedish Space Corporation, Fortis’ inaugural round of space-tested watches and movements continue to delight enthusiasts near and far. The Fortis mission is to build true luxury that is ready for the scratches that come with living a robust and high-quality lifestyle. Fortis will be showcasing the Stratoliner S-41 White Dust at this year’s windup. A unique design for the current (and future) space tourist, the Stratoliner is both a tribute and motivation for those inventing tomorrow.

The Stratoliner measures in at a 41 millimeter diameter and a height of 14.5 millimeters. A stardust dial with grained finish and superluminova X1 on the dial and hour and minute hands keep this piece easy to read on or off planet.  Check out the Stratoliner S-41 as well as the Marinemaster M-40 in Amber Orange and the Novonaut N-42 Legacy edition. It’s all happening at the Fortis booth.

Oris

From Hölstein, Switzerland, Oris watches have been superbly crafted, high functioning, and purely mechanical watches for more than 119 years. With constant focus on useful complications and prices that make sense, Oris is a leader in balancing ecological, social, and financial decisions for their products. Achieving climate neutrality in 2021, Oris is one of the few remaining independently owned Swiss watch companies allowing them to follow their own path. At Windup San Francisco, Oris will be showing off their new Aquis collection with new colors, sizes and additional design updates to one of Oris’ core collection.

The flagship in the collection is the 43.5 millimeter with the Oris Calibre 400 movement. The watch comes in Green, Blue, and the new multi-colored Upcycle. The Upcycle dials are created from recycled ocean plastic, another example of the brand’s embedded sustainability practices. The update also includes the highly requested color-matched dials (although the Upcycle has a palatable blue color). The Aquis also comes in 41.5 mm and a new 36.5 size—other sizes includes more color and movement selections, offering something for every attendee to discover at Windup this year.

The brands are pulling out all stops this year so we’re more excited than ever to see our West Coast connections this year. With a larger EDC Expo presence and a new beautiful venue right on the San Francisco Bay, we know you will be too.
