Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves are quickly proving that they are ready to make a run this postseason as they've just cemented a 2-0 lead on Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns. Alongside Edwards' explosive game one performance, he revealed a low-top version of his red-hot debut signature shoe -- the adidas AE1. Appropriately named the adidas AE1 Low, he has worn the new silhouette in both games, though has not shared when it will be releasing to the public.
Despite its release period remaining unknown, an early look at adidas' official imagery for the upcoming "MX Grey" colorway has been shared courtesy of sneaker insider @brandon1an. The sneaker revisits the "MX" series that was introduced by Ye's adidas YEEZY line -- blending grey, green and brown hues throughout its unique upper. Its base layer favors a black textile finish that matches the tongue and laces while the heel sports the Three Stripes logo in a muted green.
We've yet to receive word from adidas regarding the retail debut of Anthony Edwards' adidas AE1 Low, including the launch details for this "MX Grey" pair. However, stay tuned for updates as it's likely to land on shelves in the months to come via adidas and select retailers at a starting price of $110 USD.
