The adidas AE 1 has been making headlines as one of, if not the best new basketball signature sneaker on the market. Keeping their foot on the pedal, Anthony Edwards and adidas Basketball have now unveiled a low top iteration of the AE 1.
Revealed by Edwards just in time for the 2024 NBA Playoffs, this low-top variant of the AE 1 is ideal for both the post season and summer hoops. Previewed below, the adidas AE 1 Low is said to be lighter and more cushioned than the previous AE 1 model while still managing to keep the main signature traits of the AE 1. The pair you see below, which is dubbed the adidas AE 1 Mural, comes dressed in a Black knit textile upper alongside the signature TPU support cage highlighted by the perforations arranged in a distinctive honeycomb layout. The AE 1 Low also features Anthony Edwards’ initials on the woven tongue tag, Three Stripes logo on the heel and a midsole that combines Boost and Lightstrike tech for exceptional cushioning and responsive energy return.
Retailing for $110, current reports have the adidas AE 1 Low releasing to the public sometime during the Summer season at select retailers and adidas.com. Stay tuned for official images and a confirmed release date.
