Update: In classic YEEZY fashion, the debut of the adidas YEEZY 500 High Tactical Boot has not quite gone according to plan. It first appeared in late July of last year with this "Sand" colorway but ultimately ended up releasing in all-black first. From there, the stream of YEEZY releases ran dry with adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden noting in November that the brand may not opt to sell all of its remaining YEEZY stock.
Now, it has been revealed that the brand will sell its remaining inventory this year. Arriving in tandem with this news, a partial reveal of the brand's official images of the adidas YEEZY 500 High Tactical Boot "Sand" has been shared. As noted in the initial breakdown below, it leans on military-inspired aesthetics with an all-tan makeover for this "Sand" pair. Release has not been confirmed just yet so hang tight as we await the next chapter of the adidas YEEZY saga.
Original Story: adidas and Ye are gradually starting to unload the remaining YEEZY footwear stock that's been sitting around in storage. Plans of launching any new silhouettes and styles are likely still being worked on, but we're starting to see a few fresh iterations surfaced onto our radar like this adidas YEEZY 500 High Tactical Boot "Sand."
Ye has often pandered towards military-inspired footwear silhouettes to inspire his own designs and the uppers on this unreleased model bears an elongated, tube-like entry point that's reminiscent of models like Rothco's Tactical Boots, Nike Field Boot and the creative genius' YEEZY SEASON 3 Boots. As you move closer towards the bottoms, the adidas YEEZY 500 elements start to become more apparent. Curvy overlays atop the toe boxes and heels are done up in sultry suede and the entire adiPrene-cushioned YEEZY 500 sole unit is implemented. Various shades of tan and beige arrive across its top and lower halves to echo Ye's affinity for earthy tones.
Early reports have these slated to drop during the fall '23 season via CONFIRMED and select retailers, but neither Ye nor adidas have confirmed this information.
In case you missed it, Foot Locker is reportedly rumored to begin selling adidas YEEZYs again this August.
