32-year-old American skateboarder Ishod Wair introduced his second signature shoe with Nike SB to the world at the start of 2024. Bringing forth the Nike SB Ishod 2, various colorways have enlivened the skate-ready silhouette, with an upcoming high-powered collaboration with VERDY drawing inspiration from his VISTY character across the pastel-covered sneaker. Now, the latest look to adorn the shoe is a tried-and-true "Black/Gum."
Kicking off the new pair, its upper begins with a suede mudguard in black, which matches the overlay that hosts the black eyelets that the rope laces run through. Leather and mesh detailing intersect these overlays in black while hosting a black metallic Swoosh at the lateral midfoot and an embroidered one at the medial. The silhouette's typical "WAIR" and "ISHOD" details hit the lateral and tongue respectively as the black suede heel counter hosts an embroidered Nike SB logo. Looking to the sole unit, its black midsole is joined by a visible Air unit at the heel while the outsole favors a gum finish with speckles spread throughout.
At the time of writing, Nike SB has not yet announced when it will be releasing this "Black/Gum" colorway of Ishod Wair's SB Ishod 2. Stay tuned for updates as it's already arrived via select skate shops and will likely launch via Nike SNKRS in the weeks to come at a starting price of $110 USD.
