LeBron James and Nike will be continuing their two-decade-plus partnership later this year with the release of King James' 22nd signature sneaker: the LeBron 22, which will debut with a Monopoly collaboration. First announced by Sneaker Files — the jury is still out on if the imagery is a leak or a mock-up — the new model looks to feature a low-cut construction and decoupled midsole just like the LeBron 21 does. Tech specs for the LeBron 22 have yet to be revealed but the LeBron 21 features a full-length Cushlon 2.0 midsole and forefoot Zoom Turbo unit, a combination that may be repurposed on James' forthcoming model.
If these early images hold true, the Monopoly x Nike LeBron 22 will boast a metallic silver and money green color scheme, accented by an all-over Monopoly money print on its upper and a gum outsole. There's also an abstract, flowing Swoosh overlay on the lateral side, a smaller, standard Swoosh on the midsole and James' signature on the heel. The same leak also announced a "Royal Pulse/Diffused Blue/Football Grey/Metallic Silver" colorway of the LeBron 22, but images of that purported model have yet to appear.
Nike has yet to comment or make any announcement regarding the LeBron 22 or any Monopoly collaboration, but look for further info on this combination of bucks and buckets to surface soon.
