Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit behind the Sesame Street series, has brought on Dannette Hill to fill the newly created Chief People Officer position.
Hill will act as overseer of the organization’s Human Resources Functions and report to President and Interim CEO Sherrie Westin.
Through her extensive leadership roles and accomplishments across a variety of organizations, Danni has demonstrated an expertise in optimizing the employee experience, recruiting top talent, and building an exceptional Human Resources team.
Hill’s most recently served as Group Vice President and Head of People and Culture at Schmidt Futures. Prior to this role, she worked across the banking, beauty, public-supported television, and healthcare industries, as well as nonprofits.
Hill spent seven years at Planned Parenthood, initially as the Chief Human Resources Officer, and later as Senior Vice President of Leadership and Culture, championing reproductive health. Additionally, she held the position of Chief HR Officer at ChildFund, an organization aiming to help vulnerable children. Her work in social impact began as a Pfizer Global Health Fellow, where she worked for the Ministry of Health in Nairobi, Kenya.
Hill will be tasked with leading a division that will support best practices for Sesame Workshop. The nonprofit is known for more than just Sesame Street, with initiatives aiming to educate and enrich the lives of children across the globe.
