What We Know
It's not really Watches & Wonders without the release of a handful of new Daytonas in precious metals. I'd venture to guess the Daytona is one of the most iterated on collections and while people clamor for steel Daytonas, I'm a massive fan of the Daytonas on Oysterflex like the next four watches below. First, we're staring with a new turquoise and black-dialed yellow gold reference on Oysterflex bracelet, the 126518LN. This is giving "Daytona Beach" and Tudor "Flamingo Blue" all grown up and modern, and I'm here for it.

But really, the meteorite dials are probably the thing that I'm most happy to see return. They were briefly gone but for a long time, I had imagined owning a white gold meteorite dial Daytona. It's like the fantastic silver-dialed version of the same model, but taken to another level, now with the features like the white gold surround on the Cerachrom bezel. But if you're more of yellow or rose gold person, they have those too.

Yes, we haven't written up most of the specs, but those should be pretty familiar to folks. The Daytonas all have the calibre 4131 chronograph movement with 72 hours of power reserve and solid casebacks. If you want more information and specs about the current generation of Rolex Daytonas, you can check out our past coverage. We should be giving you our pick of our favorites in person after seeing them.
What We Think
We'll be seeing these watches soon enough in person so I will save a lot of my thoughts for then. The sleeper return (or change) for me was the "Mayer" Daytona in yellow gold, this time with yellow subdials this time instead of the matching green. This feels a bit more "Go Pack Go" colors for my home town of Green Bay and their amazing football team. I'll wait to see it in person to decide if it's better or worse. The white gold Daytona with blue dial is never not going to be a classic that's much more wearable across the board. Then there's the chocolate brown and black subdials. Are they shocking returns or iterations? No. But they're exactly what the doctor ordered for a lot of people.
