The iconic role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and has big plans on the way. Earlier this week, a special LEGO set was unveiled via the LEGO Ideas line, comprised of 3,745 pieces. Now, an expansive range of thematic gear has been unveiled in collaboration with Converse.
Kicking things off with the footwear, two Chuck 70s and two Chuck Taylor All Stars have been outfitted with references to the game. Each style features molded stars at the silhouettes' signature Chuck patch, referencing the game's twenty-sided dice. Additional detailing applied to each pair includes hexagonal eyelets and a special tongue lining that features an excerpt about the history of Dungeon & Dragons alongside a customizable character sheet. On top of the four colorways showcased above, fans will be able to customize their own pairs via the Converse By You platform. Each pair also comes with a shoe box that has been specially-designed to replicate the look of the mimic, a shape changing monster.
That's not all -- the duo has prepared apparel to complement the footwear options as well. Graphics and characters from the game's core rulebooks have been applied to a long-sleeve tee, three short-sleeve tees, a pair of shorts and a trucker hat, completing the range.
For those eager to get their hands on this Dungeons & Dragons-themed collection made in collaboration with Converse, it has already made its debut at Gary Con XVI, with a wider release set to take place via Converse and select retailers on April 11.
