After a long hiatus, the Nike Air Max 1 “Grand Piano,” a highly coveted sneaker first released in 2009, is making a grand return in 2024. Originally released in Taipei in a limited run of just 400 pairs, this coveted Air Max 1 swiftly rose to collectible status. Emerging from a unique collaboration with PHANTACi, a boutique co-directed by the "King of Mandopop" Jay Chou, this special edition captivated fans with its distinct musical theme.
Echoing the elegance of a grand piano, the sneaker flaunts black and gold patent leather panels alongside a plush pink velvet sock liner. The forthcoming reissue introduces “Piano” lace locks in both black and pink, a slight nod to its musical roots while indicating a departure from the original PHANTACi-branded elements.
At the time of writing, release and pricing details have yet to be announced, but they are likely scheduled for availability through Nike and selected retailers. This iteration promises a broader release, extending its reach to enthusiasts and collectors alike.
