New Balance’s 8040 first made its debut last spring with three classic earth tones. Now, a new color variant that follows the earthen palette has been unveiled, dubbed “Great Plains.”

Similar to last year’s “Dark Mushroom,” the new iteration showcases a tonal appearance with the upper and sole both dressed in its titular hue. Its upper is crafted from pigskin suede, boasting an asymmetric strap fastening that’s embellished with an embroidered “NB” logo. This is paired with a synthetic mudguard and ABZORB sole unit in matching shades.
