Jazwares is celebrating the third-annual Squismallows Day by announcing the largest single Squismallows donation of all time. Through Jazwares Cares, the company’s philanthropic arm, children and families across the globe in the U.S., Europe, and Australia will receive more than 500,000 units of the popular plush.
“Putting a smile on children’s faces is at the heart of everything we do,” says Laura Zebersky, President and Chief Commercial Officer for Jazwares. “As Squishmallows continues to capture the hearts of fans around the world, what better way to celebrate the third-annual Squishmallows Day than to bring joy to kids who may not have Squishmallows of their own with our largest single Squishmallows donation.”
Squishmallows plush will be distributed to children’s hospitals, Title I schools, and Jazwares Cares’ non-profit partners. Jazwares Cares is partnering with The Toy Foundation, Baby2Baby, Toys for Tots, First Responders Children’s Foundation, and more organizations in the U.S. The company is working with the Australian Toy Industry to donate Squishmallows to Backpacks 4 VIC Kids to distribute the plush in Australia; in Europe, it is partnering with In Kind Direct, Innatura, and Dons Solidaires to distribute to children and families in the U.K., Germany, and France.
Jazwares Cares aims to support children’s health, well-being, and educational development through play. The “work of heart” achieves these goals through donations, sponsorships, education-based programs, and the participation of Jazwares employees.
Squismallows Day is March 7. Jazwares unveiled Cam the Cat, the first plush in the line, on March 7, 2017. The company announced its Stranger Things collaboration as part of its celebration last year.
