Spin Master’s Unicorn Academy reigns supreme amongst children’s television, ranking as the top show for girls ages 6-9 in Netflix’s audit last September. Not to be taken off its high horse, the fantasy adventure series will debut two special episodes throughout the coming year as the team gears up for a second season in 2026. 

Premiering on National Unicorn Day (Apr. 9), “Legendary Summer” will follow Layla as she tries to find a mystical marvel like Professor Faraday. However, Layla’s discovery accidentally endangers the powers of the unicorns, and she has to fight to save the kingdom. The second special, “Winter Solstice,” will air Nov. 6 and give kids a deeper look at the most powerful form of magic: friendship. Both episodes will be available to stream on Netflix. 

Accompanying the specials, Spin Master has also launched a collection of toys recreating the most memorable moments from Unicorn Academy Season 1. The dolls and unicorn playsets include interactive features like glowing horns, rainbow light magic, and fan-favorite series music. With plenty of magic to discover, little fans can relive every playful pony moment until the second season comes out.
