There is a new series of games on the way made especially for little learners!

Briarpatch from University Games is launching a new series of School Readiness games this Spring. Since its acquisition of Briarpatch in 2014, University Games has been taking full advantage of the opportunity to expand its portfolio of educational offerings. Now, three new games are joining the lineup.

Criss-Cross Applesauce invites players to sit down criss-cross style and act out a variety of activities, with everything from roaring like a lion to tracing letters. The game also challenges memory, as kids remember and perform previous actions.

Kids are on the hunt for matching tiles with numbers, letters, and little insects in Letter, Number or Bug. The game is designed to help with the basics of letter and number recognition as kids actively search for tiles and remember the locations of tiles they’ve seen before.

Finally, Hocus Pocus, Everybody Focus is a memory game in which kids each take a mask and use their sense of touch to determine what objects have been added to or removed from the play area.

University Games’ Briarpatch has even more for kids looking to learn at their next game night. The company has offerings that include I Spy, Pete the Cat, The World of Eric Carle, and more.

Each of the new games is designed for two or more players ages 3 and up, and retails for $14.99. Educators and parents alike can find a favorite game designed to encourage early learning in kids.
