Vintage Croton Chronomaster
The Croton Chronomaster is a classic vintage chronograph with an iconic name. Usually these are called Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver (like I said, iconic), but this iteration has been reduced for brevity’s sake to just the Chronomaster…still a great name. But it’s not just a cool name, this chunky 1970’s chronograph has the classic squarish steel case that looks unpolished but does have some wear from age/use. The aluminum dive bezel is in good shape with minimal wear. The black dial is clean and has a great layout with the dual subdials and date window at 6 o’clock giving it a nice symmetry. The Valjoux manual wind movement is clean and runs well per the seller.
Vintage Bulova Ambassador
Next up is this sweet vintage Bulova. The seller calls it an Ambassador, but to be honest I don’t recall seeing this model attached to that name. Either way, it’s a beauty. The slim white gold filled case is clean, with bold fancy lugs. The black dial looks original and is really clean. It has stylized Art Deco style numerals and a nice subseconds dial at 6 o’clock. The Bulova caliber 7AK manual wind movement is clean and works well per the seller. The little square symbol on the movement is the date code for 1946.
Vintage Omax Crystal
Here we have a wild one, and one I’ve never seen before! This vintage Omax Crystal really stands out, and screams 1970s! The 38mm wide steel case has an oval/hexagon shaped case that is definitely unique. The case is unpolished with sharp edges and the original mix of brushed and polished finish. The dial is white in the center and sky blue around the edge, with applied gold markers and gold hands, with a day/date window at 3 o’clock. The crown is original and signed, as is the matching steel bracelet. The 25 jewel automatic movement is clean and runs well per the seller. If you want a watch that will get noticed, this may be the one for you!
Vintage 1950s Bulova
Next up is another vintage Bulova, but this one is from the 1950s. This 23 jewel automatic has incredible style. The 31mm steel case has fancy curved lugs, and a scalloped bezel that goes perfectly with the black dial that has deep radial grooves giving it a starburst look. The dial has steel arrow and square hour markers. The steel sword hands have slim lume plots, and the crown is signed with the Bulova logo as it should be. The star here though is the Bulova 23 jewel movement, which is adjusted to six positions like a Chronometer grade movement would be. These are really well made movements, and coupled with that dial and case, you have a real gem.
Vintage Jules Jurgensen “President”
Want the look of a Rolex President without the hefty price tag? Check out this vintage Jules Jurgensen “President” style watch, complete with Jubilee bracelet and full set of boxes and papers. The watch has the classic President look, complete with a gold dial that has the day above the 12 and the date at 3. It has a quartz movement, which is good for a nice grab-and-go watch. This piece comes complete with all the trimmings, outer and inner boxes, instructions, warranty, hangtags and even the “inspected by 068” tag!
Vintage King Seiko
Going to finish this week strong with a gorgeous vintage King Seiko. This KS 5625-7000 from October 1970 is a beauty. The 37mm steel case showcases the epitome of Seiko’s Grammar of Design, with large flat planes and sharp edges. The case looks unpolished, and the gold KS medallion on the back is nice and crisp. It has the correct KS signed crown. The silver dial looks great, with steel dauphine hands and a date window at 3 o’clock. The automatic movement isn’t shown, the watch is a front-loading case and the seller did not take any pictures of the movement. The craftsmanship and finishing on these vintage King Seikos is amazing, and this is as fine an example as you can find.
