Retailers can stock stuffed animals such as Fisher-Price Barney’s World Baby Bop 12-inch Plush ($19.97), Fisher-Price Barney’s World Plush Billy Dinosaur 8-inch Plush ($21.95), Fisher-Price Barney’s World 8-inch Plush Character ($24.95), and Fisher-Price Barney’s World Plush Baby Bop 8-inch Plush ($9.97). Each one has soft fur, embroidered features, and accurately depicts a character from the show.

Kids can also play with the Fisher-Price Barney’s World Heart Glow Barney Plush ($29.92), which showcases more than 40 loving phrases, songs, and sounds, as well as a light show on its tummy. The Fisher-Price Barney’s World Sensory Barney Plush Toy ($16.88) has six different textures, patterns for tracing, and more.

“Barney is the rare property that connects with fans of all ages, and we’re thrilled to bring his lessons of love and kindness with a fresh perspective for today’s families,” PJ Lewis, SVP, Global Head of Action Figures & Fisher-Price Entertainment, says. “This new product line celebrates Barney creating meaningful play experiences for kids and their grown-ups to explore self-expression.”

The line also includes figures like the Fisher-Price Barney’s World Heart Hands Barney ($14.97). Kids can press Barney’s belly for sounds and songs, then watch his heart hands light up. Additionally, families can add three figure playsets ($11.32 each) to the toy box, including the Fisher-Price Barney’s World Barney’s Friend David & Barney Figure Set, the Fisher-Price Barney’s World Barney’s Friend Vivie & Baby Bop Figure Set, and Fisher-Price Barney’s World Barney’s Friend Mel & Billy Dino Figure Set. Each one includes character figures and an accessory.

The company created the line with self-love, imagination, and confidence in mind. A recent survey conducted by Mattel and OnePoll notes that 57% of parents worry that their self-doubt will impact their kid’s confidence, and that parents, on average, believe that kids start to doubt themselves around 5.6 years old. As a result, Mattel has designed toys, clips, and specials to help families nurture love, celebrate achievements, prioritize self-care, and more.

“Nurturing self-love in young children is so important for their mental well-being and development,” Corinne Eggleston, Manager, Early Childhood Development Research at Fisher-Price Play Lab, says. “Children who develop a positive self-image are often more confident and resilient, more likely to ask for help when needed, learn from their mistakes, and navigate challenges with greater ease. Barney’s message of self-love encourages them to build meaningful relationships with family and friends, fostering a deeper sense of connection, which can help set the foundation for a happier and healthier life.”

The Barney Brand is also releasing a Parent Companion Guide to help adults facilitate and foster conversations about mental health, self-love, confidence, and more with kids. Mattel is also donating Barney: I Love You books to Good+Foundation, a nonprofit that provides for parents and caregivers who lack certain resources.
