Cherry blossom season has nearly begun in Japan, which is set to prompt travelers from around the world to visit and bask in its beauty. This year, Jordan Brand is looking to join in on the festivities by outfitting the Air Jordan 2 Low in a special "Cherry Blossom" rendition.
The low-top version of the Air Jordan 2 played a key role in the brand's "Year of the Dragon" collection and is being released as an Asia-exclusive once again. This version of the sneaker begins with a white leather upper that is joined by a special semi-translucent gradient at the heel that sees white turn to pink, an effect that is also utilized at the semi-translucent outsole. Neon green joins in at the tongue and sockliner branding while a special thematic box and hangtag round out the pair.
Release for this "Cherry Blossom"-themed take on the Air Jordan 2 Low is set to take place initially in Japan. Currently, it's set to launch via the Japanese version of the Nike SNKRS platform on March 21 at a price of ¥25,850 JPY (approx. $173 USD). However, it may also touch down on shelves elsewhere in the world at a likely price of $150 USD. Stay tuned for updates and enjoy a complete visual breakdown of the pair above.
