Vintage Seiko LCD Alarm Chronograph

Here’s a neat vintage Seiko LCD alarm chronograph from the 1980’s. Seller says 1985, but the serial number says March 1987. Either way, this is a cool piece. Classic 80’s slim profile, with an unpolished stainless steel case and matching steel Jubilee-ish style Seiko bracelet. The watch is in great shape, and the screen looks like all the segments work. Seller states all the functions work as well. The caseback even has the original sticker still present. Great bit of fun that shouldn’t stress your watch budget.

Vintage Clebar

Next up is this beautiful vintage Clebar three register chronograph. The 36mm stainless steel case looks unpolished with sharp edges, and a snap on caseback. The silver dial is super clean and has that classic Heuer Carrera look to it. This one features old-style square (rectangular really…) pushers, which is a great look I think. The watch is powered by a manual wind Venus caliber 178 movement that is clean and works well per the seller. You really can’t beat a vintage chronograph like this one. And with the Clebar name instead of Heuer or Longines, the price should remain reasonable.

Vintage Seiko 6619-8230

This vintage Seiko 6619-8230 is a great piece, with an awesome original bracelet. The 38mm wide stainless steel case looks unpolished with sharp edges and the original factory finish. It’s definitely been worn, but not abused. The charcoal dial is a beauty, with the ubiquitous Seiko day/date window at three o’clock. This watch has the added benefit of having the exact same hour and minute handset that was used on the timeless Seiko 6105 divers, should you ever need to steal them to help out a 6105. That fact makes this model fairly sought after by those that know. As a bonus, this one comes on the original coffin link Seiko bracelet, which is one of their cooler bracelets IMHO.

Vintage Enicar Ultrasonic

Next up we have a nice vintage Enicar Ultrasonic with the full kit. The yellow gold plated case looks in good shape, with a snap on steel caseback. The silver dial has a nifty radial grooved surface with a large sub-seconds dial at 6 o’clock. It comes on what is surely not original, but definitely a period-correct stretch bracelet that has a calendar on it, a not uncommon feature back in the day. While neat, you’ll want to put a better looking strap on this one I’m sure. The best part is that this watch comes with the original clamshell box and paperwork, which is always sweet.

Vintage 1956 Longines Waffle Dial

Next up is this gorgeous vintage 1956 Longines. The stainless steel case looks unpolished and has nice edges and a broad flat bezel. The cream dial has a stunning waffle texture with crosshairs and a sub-seconds dial at 6 o’clock. The hour markers are applied steel slim arrows. Steel dauphine hands complete the unique look. The crown is original  and signed with the Longines logo. The watch is powered by a manual wind Longines caliber 23Z movement that is clean and runs well per the seller. This is an absolute looker. I was tempted to bid on this myself, but it’s too good not to share with our readers!

Vintage 1969 Grand Seiko 6146-8000

Finishing up this week with another gorgeous watch, a 1969 Grand Seiko 6146-8000. Classic “Grammar of Design” case, with the quintessential flat planes, sharp edges and mix of brushed and polished finishes. Just outstanding. The silver dial is clean and original, with a day/date window at 3 o’clock. These were offered in three configurations, no date, date only and day/date, with the latter being the most expensive. The gold GS medallion on the back is crisp and sharp. The automatic Seiko caliber 6146 movement is clean and just a beauty, running well per the seller. You really can’t beat a vintage Grand Seiko, the attention to detail and finishing is second to none.
