Vintage Apple Watch
Here’s a really neat piece and one I haven’t seen before. It’s a vintage original-logo Apple watch. Although this watch looks like it’s from the 80’s, MacOS wasn’t released until 1999, and with the MacOS logo on the original rubber strap, I’m guessing that’s when this watch was released. It has a cool multicolor hands and bezel setup that matches the six color Apple logo. Very unique design with what looks like a blue anodized bezel and integrated hidden lugs with the crazy shaped hands. And the original rubber strap with blue buckle and MacOS logo on it. Great vintage Apple piece if you’re an Apple fan like me.
1950s Benrus
This vintage 1950’s Benrus is super cool and in spectacular condition. The yellow gold fill tank style case has unique sculpted lugs giving it a look that really stands out. The fancy case is excellent with virtually no wearthrough that I can detect from the pictures. The crown is original and signed “Benrus”. The silver dial is about as clean as it gets with these types of 50’s watches and has the cool three color logo bar under the Benrus at 12 o’clock. The movement is clean and runs well per the seller. Overall a really sweet vintage Benrus dress watch that will look great at your next cocktail party.
Wittnauer Electro-Chron
Next up is a classic and highly sought after vintage Wittnauer Electro-Chron. This beauty has a very unique handset that really sets it apart from other watches. The hour hand is a circle with a diamond shaped pointer at the end, the minute hand is a long lightning bolt and the second hand has a little lightning bolt at the base end. And there is a lightning bolt logo at 12 o’clock to complete the “Electro” look. The white dial is clean, and the steel case is excellent. This watch has an early electronic movement, hence the killer handset. The seller states it is running well, which can be hard to find. These don’t show up often in this condition and at auction, so if it floats your boat, take a close look at this listing.
Hamilton Grenadier II
Here’s another unique piece, a vintage Hamilton Grenadier II. The 10k yellow gold filled case measures nearly 34mm, and has a wide, stepped bezel and big curved lugs. The light gold colored dial has lume dots for hour markers with straight painted lines coming off of them and a small subseconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gold dauphine hands. The look with the dial and case is all quite Atomic Age, and is really a neat piece. The manual wind movement is clean and runs well per the seller.
Vintage Omega Geneve Dynamic
The last one was Atomic Age, and this one is a wild Space Age look! The Omega Geneve Dynamic has a design and look all to itself, with the horizontal oval shaped steel case and silver and blue bullseye dial. The 40mm wide case is unpolished with sharp edges and original brushed finish, and the crown is original and signed with the Omega symbol. The silver dial with blue bullseye ring is original and super clean. The Dynamic was designed to fit more comfortably on the wrist…allegedly. I think they just went all-in on the funky 1970’s aesthetic! The band on this one is not original, but is the correct design as it is a unique one-piece strap that the case fits into with a retaining ring on the back. Great looking funky wrist statement.
Mathey Tissot Vintage Chronograph Diver
Wrapping up this week with a brilliant vintage Mathey Tissot chronograph diver. This gem comes in a large (likely around 40mm) steel case that looks unpolished with sharp chamfers on the fat lugs. The aluminum divers bezel is excellent with minimal wear except the lume pip which is missing. The black reverse panda dial is excellent, with nice steel hour and minute hands and a red chrono seconds hand. This watch comes on the original signed Mathey Tissot bracelet, which is uncommon. It is powered by the famous and highly desired Valjoux 72 movement (per the seller’s description, there is no movement picture), made famous by its use in the vintage Rolex Daytona. Seller states the watch runs and works well. Great piece featuring a classic movement.
