MSCHF is back at it again with yet another release that gets the people talking. Dubbed the MSCHF 2×4 Boot, this latest MSCHF release is the brand’s rendition of the well known 6-Inch Boot
MSCHF 2×4 Boot features a unique design on the upper that is meant to mimic the boot’s sole while extending the tread to the toe box and heel counter. Other notable details include the Black padded leather collars and construction boot laces. MSCHF’s creative design aims to play with the concept of functionality and form. Not afraid to play with proportions and textures that will surely start a conversation, the boot’s upper is essentially a single piece instead of the traditional layers and components we are accustomed to, that results in a cohesive structure. Although this may seem odd looking and “off”, it’s something we’ve come to expect from the Brooklyn-based creative collective. The campaign for the “2×4” boot is also pretty unique as it features legendary filmmaker Spike Lee while also being lensed by Satchel Lee, Spike Lee’s daughter.
Retailing for $400, the MSCHF 2×4 Boot is set to release on March 19th on Mschf.com and the MSCHF Sneakers app. Will you be going after a pair?
UPDATE 3/7/24: Spike Lee stars in MSCHF 2×4 Boot campaign, which was shot by Satchel Lee, Spike Lee’s daughter.
