Vintage Girard Perregaux Casquette

Coming in with the heat to start this week, with this very cool and very rare vintage Girard Perregaux  Casquette LED watch. This super-futuro watch debuted in 1976 and is so iconic that GP reissued it as a heritage edition in 2022. But this here is the O.G. GP LED (sorry, I had to do that…), and it even comes with the original box. What makes this model unique is the side view ‘drivers’ design where the LED window is inset, giving it an old school computer console look. The 32mm wide steel case is in good shape, unpolished and still showing the original brushed finish. It comes on the original bracelet, although the seller states it will only fit up to a 7” wrist. The watch works well with no missing LED segments, however one of the buttons is a little sticky per the seller. The watch comes with the original box, which is a little beat up. Still, this is a really nice example of an exceptional watch.

Vintage Seiko 7006-8040

Here’s one that is a little simpler, a straight forward vintage Seiko 7006-8040 on the original bracelet. This is your classic 1970’s sporty/dress Seiko, with a silver dial, day/date window at 3 o’clock, steel markers and dauphine hands. Nice classic steel case in unpolished condition. It comes on a Seiko signed oyster style bracelet which is always nice. The automatic movement is clean and works well per the seller. These automatic movements are robust and reliable. Great watch that shouldn’t stress the wallet.

Vintage Omega Seamaster

Next up is a true classic, a gorgeous vintage Omega Seamaster Calendar. This is the original calendar Seamaster model where the date window is at 6 o’clock. The seller says the watch is from 1961, but the serial number on the beautiful bumper automatic movement dates this to 1952, which is correct. The steel case looks unpolished, with nice sharp edges you can see on the lugs. The white crosshair dial is excellent, with skinny gold arrow markers and gold dauphine hands. The dial looks original to me, which is getting harder and harder to find, especially on eBay. The crown is the correct rounded button crown for this model, and is signed with the Omega symbol. The seller even states that the acrylic crystal is signed with an Omega symbol. This is a real beauty, and a model you don’t often find in this condition for auction.

Vintage Bulova Commander

Here’s a great vintage Bulova 30 Jewel, with a stunning silver monochrome bullseye dial. The front-loading steel case looks sharp and unpolished and comes in at just under 33mm wide. The silver dial is really sweet, with an inner shiny ring that gives it the bullseye look. Applied steel baton markers and lume filled dauphine hands complete the look. The seller found an ad showing this model as the Commander “B”, which is a fun anecdote to know. The watch also comes on what looks to be the original or at least period-correct stretch bracelet. The 30 jewel automatic movement is clean and runs well per the seller.

Vintage 1950s Longines

Up next is a nice little vintage Longines automatic dress watch in 10k gold fill. The 34mm gold fill case looks nice with no wearthrough and has sharp edges. The cream dial is original and really nice, with a little patina from age. The hour markers are nice applied gold arrows, with gold dauphine hands. The original crown is signed with the Longines flying hourglass logo. This watch is powered by the famous Longines caliber 19AS automatic movement, made famous by its use in the Longines Conquest watches of the 1950’s. The serial number on the movement dates this watch to circa 1958/1959.

Vintage Pulsar LED

Going to book end this edition of eBay Finds with another great vintage LED for you, this time a Pulsar model 3201 complete with box and papers! The Pulsar is a classic and well-known LED model, with a distinctive fat case and integrated bracelet. The large red LED window is in great shape, as are the case and bracelet. The watch has new batteries and runs well per the seller. Best of all this watch comes with the full kit, inner and outer boxes as well as the original instruction manual.
