PlayMonster Group, the toy and game company behind the board game Pigs on Trampolines, has selected Jonathan Berkowitz to serve as its CEO. Steve Adolph will step down from the CEO position.
Berkowitz brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in the toy industry to the role, as well as an eye for market trends, digital marketing, and e-commerce. He will lead PlayMonster into new areas of product development and growth, as PlayMonster is set to expand its portfolio offerings this year.
Prior to joining PlayMonster, Berkowitz was the COO of Barstool Sports, where he led the day-to-day execution of the sports multimedia social and e-commerce brand. Berkowitz also held several marketing and leadership positions at Hasbro, where he eventually served as President of Hasbro Brands. Berkowitz revamped NERF to become the company’s top brand, revitalized Hasbro Gaming, and curated a team that helped launch Pie Face and Speak Out, both TOTY Game of the Year award winners.
“PlayMonster is known to champion the power of play through [its] products, and I am thrilled by the opportunity to join a team filled with great innovators who have a clear dedication to the toy, game, and craft spaces,” Berkowitz says. “Together, we will unlock the company’s creative potential that will ignite a culture of success and propel the brand to sustainable growth.”
