Since the debut of the Echo collection two years ago, Crocs has cemented its positioning in the sports realm through a progressive reinterpretation of its classic DNA. With forward-thinking sculpture and texture at the heart of its Echo designs, the footwear brand has gone on to introduce the Echo Storm as well as the Echo Surge silhouettes, now adding to the lineup with a brand new slip-on alternative.
Named the Echo Wave after its curved form, the new model takes cues from digitally-inspired sculpting to create a shape that securely hugs the foot despite its open-back design. The waved aesthetic is further enhanced by a rounded 5mm heel and sinuous molded lines that run across the body in a similar style to the exoskeletal case on the original Echo Clog.
Underneath the sculptural body, the brand incorporates several technical features that give the silhouette a lightweight and comfortable feel. For the base, a soft footbed made up of LiteRide™ foam is embedded in the signature rubber outer while Crocs’ signature airholes are taken from the top and placed on the medial and lateral sides for ventilation to the sole.
With each element coming together to give “urban adventurers” an easy-to-wear shoe, the debut drop elevates its versatility by offering up two muted colorways of “Rust/Pumice” and “Moth/Truffle.” Take a closer look at the silhouette in the images featured above.
