New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio (TDS) has released the Niobium Concept 3 hybrid silhouette in a duo of dynamic colorways, just in time for the start of wet and icy weather.
The latest variant of the tech-forward winter boot is offered in a black shell with a purple inner shoe and an olive shell with a dark green inner shoe. The 2-way design allows wearers to sport the outer shell for more arduous conditions, and then easily remove it to reveal the padded PRIMALOFT® inner boots in their new rich colorways. The versatile wearability allows for the use of the outer component outdoors and the inner component indoors.
The outer uppers are made in a waterproof, yet breathable eVent material, with minimal embellishment, and secured by covered bungee-cord fastening. The uppers then meet with futuristic soles inspired by New Balance's MT580 trail running model, equipped with supportive RollBar technology and a grip-ensuring Vibram® outsole. Parallel synthetic straps make their way up from the prominent heel counter and the toe box to form the pull tabs, facilitating smooth pull-on functionality.
The added New Balance TDS Niobium Concept 3 colorways are available now via select retailers and at New Balance's UK and Japan web stores. Stay tuned to Hypebeast for updates on the global release.
