Startup game company Clever Noodle and world-renowned artist Jeff Koons have shared a sneak peek of their upcoming card game collaboration, Popped!
Clever Noodle has one title under its belt so far, Kangaroo Cravings. Using up-to-date literacy science, the company seeks to fill the void in the market for fun and effective reading games. Popped!, an educational game, will similarly aim to tackle brain-science-backed learning by focusing on phonetics, blending techniques, and expert-endorsed gameplay.
Koons rose to prominence in the ‘80s art scene of New York and is perhaps most famous for his Balloon Dog sculpture. Since then he has collaborated on several consumer products with companies such as Louis Vuitton and BMW; Popped! marks his first foray into gaming. The game artwork heavily features Koons’ famous Balloon Dog sculpture in a variety of colorways.
“Reading opens the door to the world. I’m excited to connect my art with proven reading science. I hope Popped! inspires children to learn in a fun and engaging way,” Koons says on the Popped! info page.
Popped! hits Kickstarter in April and will offer backers a chance at limited edition art prints and more. Visit the Clever Noodle website for more information on the startup and the Jeff Koons collaboration.
