Prepare for the return of Skull Face, Horn Head, and Slobulus.
Madballs, the icky, gooey toys from the 1980s, are returning to shelves for the brand’s 40th anniversary.
Cloudco Entertainment, the owner of the Madballs IP, is partnering with Hunter Products for a global relaunch, including a core toy line that features classic and new characters.
The line will launch first-to-market at 2,800 Walmart stores in the U.S. in early 2025.
“Hunter Products is beyond excited to bring one of our favorite toys back to life,” says Luke Hunter, CEO, Hunter Products. “We see a big gap in the boy’s toy market that Madballs fills and can’t wait to reintroduce the brand via iconic and new characters as well as true innovation across the entire product line.”
Since its launch in 1985, Madballs has established a reputation as one of the original “gross-out” kid brands with freaky-looking themes for its products. Hunter Products plans to embrace the past while concentrating on innovation, including characters with “real” synthetic hair.
Additional retailers in the U.S. will introduce new Madballs products next fall.
Retailers in the UK, Benelux, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Portugal, and the Nordics will begin offering the line in spring 2025. For more information on these companies or this partnership, visit cloudcoentertainment.com and hunterproducts.com.au/toys.
