As December nears, brands are continuing to embrace the holiday season by loading each week with exciting new releases. This time around, Nike, Dr. Martens and Jordan Brand are drumming up excitement with ten upcoming sneaker drops that you should have your eyes on. However, before we let you know which pairs to look out for, let's look back at what footwear news stood out this past week.
On the feature side of things we looked closer at Jordan Brand's (somewhat) new "Reimagined" series, where it takes iconic looks and puts a twist on them. We discuss the line's history thus far -- noting the highlights and lowlights -- and touch on what makes it special.
As for the standard slate of news, Nike teamed up with Zellerfeld to introduce the 3D-printed Air Max 1000 sneaker, later displaying it in several different colorways. Speaking of new Air Max models, the upcoming Air Max DN8 appeared in three new looks, ranging from "British Tan" to "Team Red" and Gray/Red. It also teamed up with Sha'Carri Richardson to announce the return of the Air Superfly. Elsewhere, Corteiz dropped its "Light Bone" take on the Air Trainer Huarache via a special event and we got a better look at the all-black Nike Dunk Low "What The Duck." Jordan Brand found itself in the news with a glance at the rumored Air Jordan 4 "Seafoam" colorway, as well as an official preview of the new women's-exclusive Air Jordan 4 NET silhouette.
Elsewhere in the sneaker space, Supreme and Timberland teamed up once again, presenting the Field Boot in three different colorways that remain available now. GANNI and New Balance also reunited, taking on the Fresh Foam Trainer in looks of black/red and silver/pink. Nicole McLaughlin's PUMA Suede, after almost a year since being first spotted, made headlines once again with a closer look at the design. Rounding out the week, On's earnings were reported to have surged to $2.6 billion USD in 2024, a 32% increase from last year.

Why You Should Cop: While Nike SB has expanded its reach to collaborate with all sorts of partners, from The Powerpuff Girls to Gundam, it hasn't lost sight of its skate roots and is rejoining Antihero for a new two-part footwear project this week. Touching on the SB line's Dunk High and Zoom Blazer Mid, the former hosts various off-white hues across its upper, including tonal Antihero branding at the heel, all the while resting atop a black skate-ready outsole. As for the Zoom Blazer Mid, it goes back and forth between green and yellow while the semi-translucent outsole features Grant Taylor’s well-worn Antihero “Eagle” deck.

Why You Should Cop: Dover Street Market is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and has teamed up with Nike to commemorate the special occasion with a new collaboration featuring the Zoom Vomero 5. This all-black rendition may seem simple at first glance, however, it is packed with subtle details. First, the overlays feature an emerald reflective finish while pairing leather with ventilated mesh. DSM's Hut logo adorns the tongue tags, as well as the right shoe's heel and sockliner while the left shoe's sockliner lists the years 2004 and 2024.

Why You Should Cop: While Nike built momentum with the Air Max Sunder in the summer, it is steadily accruing support for the Air Max TL 2.5 in the fall. Similar to the Air Max Sunder, the shoe just made a return to shelves after being the subject of a CDG HOMME PLUS collaboration. It’s now dropping in a “Black/Metallic Silver” colorway that could’ve easily fit that three-piece project as it backs a slick all-black finish with silver hits throughout.

Why You Should Cop: It's been a few years but Japanese label NEIGHBORHOOD has finally reconnected with UK footwear brand Dr. Martens for their third collaboration. This time around, the two have tackled both the Penton Loafer and the 5-eye Smiths Smooth shoe. The Penton Loafer features a Creeper-inspired woven design while sporting NEIGHBORHOOD's "CRAFT WITH PRIDE" stamp at the heel, a detail also found on the right shoe of the Smiths' lateral heel and its left shoe's toe while appearing in black elsewhere.
A Ma Maniére x Nike Air Force 1 Low “WYWS”

Why You Should Cop: A Ma Maniére, while known for its many collaborations with Nike, has been on an unprecedented run this season as it continues to drop shoes from its six-part “While You Were Sleeping” collection featuring not only the Swoosh, but its Jumpman and Converse subsidiaries too. The fifth entry in the series is the brand’s Air Force 1 Low, which carries a light “Sesame” tone throughout its upper as silver Swooshes adorn each side of the shoe. Subtle callouts to AMM include a tonal “A” pattern throughout the lining, co-branding at the tonal tongue tag and “A Ma Maniére” text at the lateral midsole in place of the typical “AIR” hit.

Why You Should Cop: Hot off of a special 35th anniversary last year, the Air Jordan 3 has maintained its spot as one of Jordan Brand’s premier silhouette with drops like this week’s “Black Cement” re-release that sees the OG colorway return. The classic black leather upper is joined by its elephant print overlays and gray Nike Air heel branding, making the pair a must have for any AJ3 collectors who are missing this look from their rotation, or for those who simply need a fresh pair after rocking the 2018 version for six years.
