There's been a distinct shift in adidas Basketball's design language to increasingly modern styling over the last few years, which coincidentally (or not) overlaps with the addition of Jerry Lorenzo as a collaborator. Everything from signature shoes like the AE1 and Harden Vol. 8 to lifestyle looks such as the Crazy IIInfinity embrace futuristic shapes and often lean on strong linework. This push was first indicated by both the initial "Remember The Why" apparel collection and the brand's pop-up preview event at NBA All-Star Weekend in 2023.
Now, adidas Basketball takes another step forward with the announcement of the three-shoe IIInfinity series, with the first two sneakers having been first teased at last year's showcase before hitting shelves in the past year. Comprised of the Crazy IIInfinity, Mad IIInfinity and the new Nova IIInfinity, the range builds upon the brand's DNA, notably the look of the original adidas Kobe 1 (aka Crazy 1), by offering three slick versions in new colorways with metallic detailing. The Crazy IIInfinity leads off with a glossy red finish that is backed by black and metallic mesh detailing at its uppermost layer. From there, both the Mad IIInfinity and Nova IIInfinity leverage each sneaker's streamlined look by highlighting its strong lines in dark gray and black while sprinkling in a touch of red.
For those looking forward to shopping adidas Basketball's new IIInfinity series, the three looks will debut together on November 9 via adidas. Pricing begins at $130 USD for the Nova IIInfinity and goes up to $160 USD and $180 USD for the Crazy IIInfinity and Mad IIInfinity respectively.
