Update: As rumors of new sneakers emerge earlier in the development cycle each year, reports have been more prone to cancellations and unanticipated changes. One pair that found itself building excitement only to be reportedly cancelled this year is the Air Jordan 1 Low '85 "Royal." Despite this, the throwback design has now popped up with its expected premium construction and OG Swooshes being covered in the beloved black and blue colorway. Sneaker leakers such as MrUnloved1s maintain that the pair will not be dropping next year, however, it was previously designated as a spring 2025 launch so stay tuned in case the Jumpman team throws us another curveball with this pair.
Thanks for the DMs,
Product that has been previously shot can still show up. There are a few others for the SP25 season that may show up, but they are no longer on the schedule to release. Original Story: It may only be April, but rumors surrounding next year's lineup for Jordan Brand releases are already running wild. With 2025 marking the Air Jordan 1's 40th anniversary, the silhouette is due to have a major year, which is quickly being confirmed as word of the Air Jordan 1 Hi '85 "Bred" dropping next year arrived last week.
Now, we've heard once again from @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files, who have reported that the Air Jordan 1 Low '85 is gearing up to join in on the action as well, appearing in a throwback "Royal" rendition. While we don't know exactly how the OG colorway is to be presented this time around, it has been depicted via a mock-up pictured above as "Black," "Royal" and "Summit White" detailing are all said to be included across the Air Jordan 1 Low's original build.
At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has not unveiled any of its plans for the Air Jordan 1 in 2025. However, stay tuned as we expect many exciting release to take place for its 40th anniversary, including the release of this rumored Air Jordan 1 Low '85 "Royal" via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $160 USD.
