Update: At last, a preview of the long-awaited Corteiz x Nike Air Trainer Huarache is here. The duo was said to be working on the sneaker last year and Clint419 has now taken to his "Close Friends" Story on Instagram to unveil a sample. The limited preview of the pair reveals many key elements, starting with a gray color palette that is enlivened by a green, brown and black camo at the neoprene layer that reaches around the collar and serves as the tongue. Its branding has been adjusted in several ways, starting with the midfoot strap sporting Corteiz's Alcatraz logo and continuing with the brand's "C" at the lateral toe and a tonal Swoosh stitched into the toe box. The black tongue tag also features the typical "BY NIKE" text swapped to "BY CRTZ" while the heel's Nike Air hit instead sees a "Nike RTW" callout. Stay tuned for a complete preview of the duo's collection as it remains anticipated to drop later this year.
Original Story: London-based streetwear label Corteiz is in its own lane, gaining recognition for its inventive branding techniques that make a clear statement. The brand has ruthlessly taken over 2023, releasing consistent drops that become instant sell-outs.
Corteiz is expanding its relationship with Nike in 2024, rumored to release several Air Trainer Huarache colorways during the summer months. Sources close to designer Clint419 told Complex's Brendan Dunne that the collaboration will debut in Nike's Fall 2024 range alongside several classic variations making their return.
While no images of the pairs have surfaced, Clint419 has recently been spotted in the ultra-rare 2003 Nike Air Trainer Huarache "Dominican Republic" on Instagram. The all-white colorway resells on secondhand markets for hundreds of dollars over the original price.
Corteiz and Nike debuted their partnership in early 2023, releasing three Air Max 95 colorways alongside limited apparel and accessories. The "Pink Beam," "Aegean Storm," and "Gutta Green" colorways have become highly coveted and are expected to sky-rocket alongside the Air Trainer Huarache next year.
