Update: It is finally time for the Wu-Tang Clan's black and yellow take on the Nike Dunk High to make its global debut. For your average sneakerhead, the fabled pair needs no introduction as it has climbed the ranks to become one of the most sought-after shoes in existence due to it being limited to a mere 36 pairs back in 1999. Now, the rap group has reunited with Nike to bring its Dunk High to the world.
Staying true to the original, the "Killa Beez" color blocking is accompanied by premium leather and the squad's "W" logo embroidered at the tongue and lateral heel. “These Dunks are important to me and the Wu-Tang legacy because of the cultural impact they’ve had since their original release,” shares RZA, the leader of the Wu-Tang Clan. “For many years, the sneaker world was reserved for athletes and some entertainers, and Nike recognizing us in this way is a testament to hip-hop and our contribution to culture.” He goes on to describe the pair as a "trophy" and appears in the shoe's campaign imagery alongside the New York Knicks' Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, as well as the newly-added Mikal Bridges.
Release for the much-anticipated pair is scheduled to take place on November 9, the 31st anniversary of the collective's universally-acclaimed debut studio album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $150 USD. Update: While Nike is revisiting many grail sneakers, like the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 "Chlorophyll," one pair that stands out as an unexpected return is the "Wu-Tang" Dunks. Teased by the Swoosh at the end of June, the brand has officially unveiled the kicks as they remain expected to drop in the coming months via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $150 USD. Key details, as described below, include the collective's logo returning to the lateral heel and tongue tag. Stay tuned for more info as we eagerly await the announcement of a launch date.

Update: It's been just under two months since Nike teased the return of its legendary Dunk High "Wu-Tang." Now, the ultra-limited design's 2024 iteration has been unveiled by atmos, confirming it to be a proper recreation of the OG. Combining black and a yellow "Pollen" across the upper, the hip-hop group's emblem adorns both the lateral heel and tongue tag. Release is now expected to take place during September via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $150 USD.
Original Story: After 25 years, Nike is preparing to re-release the fabled Wu-Tang Clan Dunk Highs. Only 36 pairs of the highly-coveted collaboration were made available to the public, and those that were resold featured a hefty price tag of up to $50,000 USD. While official imagery is yet to be released, a teaser from both Nike and the Wu hinted at a colorway similar to the 1999 original; its leather build is crafted with a black base and yellow overlays, similar to the "Goldenrod" iteration, while the group's "W" insignia is embroidered just below the lateral ankle. As per Sneaker Files/zsneakerheadsz, the pair is set to release this Fall, however additional info such as a price tag and retailers are yet to be confirmed.
