Update: There's no denying that Angel Reese was one of the brightest new stars in the WNBA in her first season, contributing over 13 points and 13 rebounds per game. Her exciting season unfortunately came to an early conclusion due to a wrist injury that she suffered last month but she's poised to bounce back with the Chicago Sky next May. In anticipation of her promising career, Reebok Basketball has announced a release period for her debut signature shoe -- the spring of 2026. Reese joins the likes of Caitlin Clark and A'ja Wilson as WNBA athletes who have their own performance shoe lines on the way. Stay tuned for more information as we await a preview of her initial designs.

Original Story: It looks like the newly drafted WNBA star for the Chicago Sky, Angel Reese, is getting her own signature Reebok sneaker line. A bold move by the former LSU star, the young basketball player took to social media recently to explain why she chose Reebok over Nike.
Supposedly a lucrative endorsement deal from Nike, she explained that she favored Reebok because they did not have a prominent female basketball playe as the face of their brand. Reese responded to criticism stating, "So many different shoe companies wanted to work with me. But I chose Reebok. What was it about Reebok? One, they don't have a womenβs basketball player [as] a face. So I wanted to be that." She added, "Two, Shaq. You know my relationship with Shaq. And three, I like how they're rebranding everything and they're letting me be the creator behind everything I want to do. So I'm having my own shoe line coming out, merch with my name on it...Y'all like what I wear, y'all like how I dress, y'all like my style. I wanted to incorporate that into Reebok."
With full control over her signature products, Reese seems to have creative freedom and Reebok is offering her a chance to revamp the brand through her lens. Appealing to a younger group of consumers, Reese is expected to tap a new group of consumers through her social media community. Watch what she had to say below.
