ESPN and adidas will once again be teaming up for yet another footwear collaboration. Back in 2021, the two brands got together to release the ESPN x adidas Top Ten Hi SportsCenter, now for 2024 all eyes will be placed on the Top Ten 2000 as the collaboration looks to pay tribute to the golden era of basketball and the pinnacle of sports commentary.

Previewed below, the ESPN x adidas Top Ten 2000 will be a reimagined version of the adidas Top Ten 2000 that originally launched in 1996. Taking a closer look, a few of the design details that stand out include the ESPN branded Red stripes that are inspired by the classic ESPN “breaking news ticker tape.” You also get Sapphire (Blue) on the majority of the upper in celebration of ESPN’s upcoming 45th anniversary, whereas the Gold embroidery spotted on the dual branding on the tongue overlays is meant to highlight the golden era of basketball and the crop of future legends who would shape the game forever.

“This collaboration aims to inspire a new generation of basketball fans,” said Seth Ader, Vice President of Brand Marketing at ESPN. “This shoe commemorates a golden era in basketball, and pays homage to the synergy between adidas and ESPN, two iconic brands that continue to shape the worlds of sports and culture.”

With the homestretch of the basketball season arriving, there’s no better time to be dropping this collab. Releasing in limited quantities, the ESPN x adidas Top Ten 2000 is set to release on March 15th on adidas.com for the retail price of $150.
