Australian animation studio Pixel Zoo, a subsidiary of MGA Entertainment, has teamed up with brand management house Liquid Rock Entertainment and acquired the rights to co-produce a new series, The Secret Explorers.

The CGI-animated series will consist of 52 11-minute episodes for kids ages 4-7. It is based on the book series of the same name, which sold more than one million copies globally.

With strong media and storytelling foundations, paired with the support of MGA’s toy expertise, we believe in the tremendous potential for The Secret Explorers to not only to engage kids’ audiences but also to develop into a dynamic brand across multiple platforms.”
— Roberto Mitrani, Co-Founder of Liquid Rock Entertainment

Liquid Rock’s Roberto Mitrani and Xavi Mas will serve as co-executive producers, along with Pixel Zoo’s Paul Gillett and Sebastian Gonzalez, who will also serve as showrunners. They will be joined by Emmy Award-winning producer and creative Josh Fisher of Netflix, Spin Master, and Wildbrain.

“Pixel Zoo and Liquid Rock have put together an amazing team, and we’ve built a show for a global audience that’s funny and full of adventure. This series offers kids around the world the chance to see themselves as part of a team that can save the day, anytime, anywhere,” Fisher says.

This project is in its beginning stages and does not have a set release timeline. For more information about its development, visit https://pixelzoo.com.au/.
