norda has announced the latest colorway of its 001 sneaker: the simmering "Cinder." Following shortly after the release of a cool blue "Ether" makeup and a liquid-hot "Magma" collaboration with Ray Zahab, the "Cinder" is the first piece in a three-shoe pack of the same name that will be rolling out over the coming weeks.
The "Cinder" offers a light-and-dark design language with a soft tan upper contrasted by stark black laces, toe caps, midsoles and outsoles. Hits of reflective silver are included for good measure, as are branding touches on the lateral midfoot, tongue and heel tab. 001 designer Louis-Martin Tremblay recently shared the original inspiration for the colorway on his Instagram, namely the various shades of a steep mountain face populated by mountain goats. From a technical standpoint, the 001 boasts all the high-end materials norda aficionados know and love, from a custom bio-based Dyneema upper and laces, e-TPU insoles and Vibram technology — SLE foam, Litebase weight-cutting engineering and Megagrip traction — on its midsole and outsole.
Expect the norda 001 "Cinder" to touch down on the brand's webstore and at select stockists March 1 for $285 USD. As mentioned above, it's the first installment of a three-shoe "Cinder" collection, with corresponding 002 and 003 colorways headed to shelves soon as well.
