Engineered Garments has united with Red Wing Heritage for the first time to reimagine the shoe brand’s classic Oxford style with EG’s contemporary construction and material focused updates.

The NY-based studio’s conscious balance of streetwear and design heritage provides the classic style with a modern minimalist sensibility. Just like the name states, the Triple Black Irish Setter 3110, is comprised of 3 different black leathers: Black Chrome, Black Abilene Suede, and Black Prairie. However, it’s not only the leathers that come in black, but everything from the stitching, the tread soles and the eyelets.

From afar one may not catch the subtle variations of the black components. With longevity in mind, each of the different fabrications contained in the model is meant to develop a unique patina with consistent use. For a vintage touch, the original Irish Setter label appears on the main tag, featuring the side profile of a hunting dog under the antique word mark.

Recently, EG has been on a footwear kick with a several of recent shoe collaborations arriving from the brand this year. The Red Wing collaboration was announced off the heels of other collaborative drops including the lugged Engineered Garments x Paraboot Chambord and the Keen WK400 EG.

The Triple Black Irish Setter 3110 will be released exclusively at Nepenthes’s web store and locations on October 11.
