We're two weeks removed from Anthony Edwards' second NBA All-Star appearance and the young star continues to shine at the top of the Western Conference. At the same time, his campaign with adidas featuring his first signature shoe -- the adidas AE1 -- expanded with the "Metallic Burgundy"-colored "All-Star" pair. Now, an "MX Charcoal" adds to the sneaker's list of upcoming colorways.
Introduced with via adidas' YEEZY line, the "MX" series of colorways sees textured coloring applied to various looks ranging from multicolored makeovers to subtle grayscale renditions. For Edwards, the AE1 favors a stealthy finish that sees its signature TPU overlay combine two gray hues throughout. Its uppermost layer favors its typical all-black finish, sporting complementary branding in gray at both the tongue and heel. Per usual, white BOOST material peeks out at the outsole, resting above the rubber traction that is presented in black.
At the time of writing, adidas Basketball has not revealed any release details pertaining to this "MX Charcoal" colorway of Anthony Edwards' AE1. Enjoy an early preview of the sneaker above and be sure to stay tuned for updates as it's currently expected to release this August via adidas and select retailers at a starting price of $120 USD.
