Just a few months after Kevin Durant and Nike released the Nike KD 16 in the "Aunt Pearl" colorway, dedicated to the basketball player's dear aunt, another silhouette returns in the same hue for later this year. The Nike KD 4 in the same "Aunt Pearl" colorway was first released in May 2012. Now, the iconic sneaker is making its wait to shelves by the end of 2024.
Paying tribute to his Durant's beloved aunt who battled lung cancer, the KD 4 "Aunt Pearl" commemorates her and her loving nature. The shoe is constructed in all-pink mesh and overlays across the upper. As a nod to Aunt Pearl, a pearl graphic is seen on the tongue, while the color symbolizes the Think Pink campaign in support of breast cancer. The shoe's midfoot strap features a Swoosh in all-black while tidbits of a pearl's reflective surface is sen on the heel and parts of the tongue.
Look out for the Nike KD 4 "Aunt Pearl" arriving in Holiday 2024 at select retailers and online at Nike for $130 USD.
