Update: Bad Bunny and adidas' Gazelle Indoor "Off-White/Black-Gum" has been teased and speculated for months — and now it's finally received an official release date, a few months later than initially suspected. Along with the official reveal and release announcement of the shoe, adidas has provided details on its inspiration: the tweaked-and-twisted take on a classic draws from the concept of "the right thing in the wrong place," hence the design's warped toebox, puffed-up tongue and size tag that sits on the heel. Each of these elements is a nod to creative reinterpretation, all given room to shine by a timeless color scheme that combines a white leather base with black tongues and Three Stripe graphics that tumble down into the semi-translucent gum midsole and outsole. Rich off-white suede overlays complete the look, and the shoes come with both detachable tongue outer layers and interchangeable insoles, one thin and one thick. Last but not least, the design serves as the introduction for Bad Bunny and adidas' new "adidas 'Para Bad Bunny'" branding.
Expect the Bad Bunny x adidas Gazelle Indoor "Off-White/Black-Gum" to touch down on the adidas webstore, the adias CONFIRMED app and the adidas flagship app September 21 for $140 USD. Sign-ups for the shoe are open via the CONFIRMED app and the adidas flagship app now.
Original Story: After debuting in a blue “San Juan” colorway earlier this year, the Bad Bunny x adidas Gazelle Indoor has been revealed in a new colorway that’s set to release this summer. Compared to its predecessor, it features a more subdued everyday look, using earth tones and subtle color blocking to let its unique construction do the talking.
The shoe’s key detail, its asymmetrical toe design, stays consistent with the previous version but this time it’s done up with with grey suede over a light blue base. The standard brown gum soles feature a small adidas embossing while the words adidas and Benito (Bad Bunny’s legal first name) printed above, the latter in place of a standard adidas hit, provide subtle branding on the upper.
In February, Bad Bunny gave the first look at this new colorway in an Interview Magazine photoshoot. The teaser was subtle as Bunny only wore a pair in some full-body shots.
If early reports hold true, this second colorway of the Bad Bunny x adidas Gazelle Indoor will touch down on a yet-to-be-confirmed summer date via the adidas webstore and select adidas Originals retailers. The MSRP will be set at $140 USD.
